First Edition Points of Issue: The first printing of this book had blue covers and dust jacket, later printings were in red.  On the dust jacket front flap upper right corner the price is indicated as 200/200.  Flaps are white with black text.

There is a Junior Literary Guild Edition of this book also released in 1949. The dust jacket states on the front flap "This is a Junior Literary Guild Selection" and there is no price of 200/200 on the front flap.  On the spine of the book it is stated "A Guild Book" and the rear cover is blank.
